58: The Film

FILM SYNOPSIS: WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED. WILL WE DO EVERYTHING IT TAKES?

58: The Film is the inspiring true story of the global Church in action. Witness bravery and determined faith in a journey from the slums of Kenya to the streets of New York. Confront the brutality of extreme poverty and meet those who live out the True Fast of Isaiah 58 and create stunning new possibilities for the future.

Travel from the sun-scorched plains of rural Ethiopia to British shopping centers, from Brazilian ganglands and the enslaving quarries of India to western churches, businesses and conferences.

58: invites audiences to discover the incredible work of God through His people in our hurting world. Meet ordinary people, hear their stories, and see their struggles and their victories as 58: shows the relentlessly loving God at work through His Church bringing hope to the darkest challenges of our day. Experience eye-opening reasons to lift our expectations of the future.

Experience 58: on television, online, on DVD, and at screening events throughout the U.S.

I could not help myself but to shed tears like a babe after watching the LIVE58 FILM shown at Trinity Baptist Church, Accra East Legon. There is one thing that is a fact that each every one of us has ability to make n impact in the live of other. WE HAVE AVAILABLE RESOURCES at our disposal to help the poorest of poor and neediest of needy to live a meaningful life. Jesus came to seek and save the lost.
My perception and understanding about poverty has really changed. i am going all out to help change lives in Ghana and else where.

I have experience poverty together with my parents who were poor farmers, so i have understood the issues of poverty and to eliminate this evil, it worth sending our children to school. In fact education has been my source of relief today but then the church can also be of help in terms of creating avenues for young people to explore their God giving talents.

Together we can fight poverty through hardwork and with prayer.
    God bless you for 58

Watched this movie tonight in Wyoming, MI st Southside Vineyard. Great film! Fits in great with the book/study we’ve been doing The Hole in the Gospel. One question I had was regarding the comments at the end of the movie about the family who was in the quarry. It said they moved to a new quarry. Did the producers not help the family by paying off the $600.00 debt? Thanks.

      > Yes the 58: film crew did provide significant financial assistance to Sanjiv and his family. The crew returned to the quarry several months later and was told that Sanjiv had moved to another quarry. You can read more on the FAQ page – http://www.live58.org/about/faq/

Had an awesome screening at our church Sunday night! Had about 900 in attendance at Grace Baptist in Knoxville, TN. Very powerful film. Mike Hamilton, former athletic director at UT and current president of Blood Water Mission spoke after the movie. Awesome Night!

For our February Missions Festival (three weeks) we’re anchoring a film series with 58. Our theme is SEARCH & RESCUE–and our heart is to see our church family ramp it up in service and love for the widow, the orphan, the immigrant and the poor. THANK YOU for this amazing resource!

    Hi,

I was at the screening last night here in Indianapolis. I thought there was a message on the screen at one point that said you could request a complimentary copy of the film. Is that possible to do, and how would I go about doing it?
I work for a humanitarian relief organization called Samaritan’s Feet…we distribute shoes to children and adults all over the world. Our founder is from Nigeria, Africa and didn’t receive his first pair of shoes until the age of 9. I would love for him to see this film, especially the reference about the Good Samaritan.
Thank you so much for the work that took place to make this film happen. I wish our theater would have been more full last night, but I know it had an impact on the people that were there which is all it takes.

I have just returned home from the advance viewing of 58:The Film in Jacksonville FL. My prayers are with you on this project, and will be seeking God in how I may put “feets” to my prayers. It is definitely time for Christians to take up the banner and “shout it aloud, and not hold back”. I, for one, want my “light to break forth like the dawn” and to be “like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail”. Count me in, Brothers and Sisters.
